Two children killed in Pak. firing in Poonch
Two civilians, a 15-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy were killed and six injured in fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in the Pir Panchal Valley’s Poonch district on Monday morning.
A police spokesman said Jasmin Akhtar, 15, a resident of Digwar, and Asrar Ahmad, 10, a resident of Mohalla Kasba, died of the splinter injuries as Pakistan fired mortar shells in parts of Poonch along the Line of Control (LoC), especially Digwar area.
“The bodies have been shifted to the district hospital, Poonch, for legal formalities,” said the police spokesperson.
