Anupam Kher appointed as new FTII chairman

The government on Wednesday appointed Anupam Kher as chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

Anupam Kher will replace Gajendra Chauhan, whose turbulent tenure ended in March this year.

Anupam Kher is a recipient of two National Awards and is married to actress Kirron Kher, a BJP MP.

I feel deeply humbled & honoured to be apportioned as the Chairman of iconic #FTII. I will perform my duties to the best of my abilities.🙏
