Two militants killed in Shopian encounter

Two militants have been killed in the night long gunfight with security forces in Shopian.

“Two bodies have been recovered from the encounter site so far,” said Director General of Police S.P. Vaid.

The gunfight erupted om Monday evening in Batmurran area of Shopian during a cordon and search operation of the security forces.

The identity of the militants is being ascertained, said the police.
