Isro to launch 31 satellites on January 12
Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) is gearing up for the first launch of this year on January 12 when it will send its latest remote sensing satellite of the Cartosat-2 series along with 31 small satellites into space.
“PSLV C-40 rocket will launch the Cartosat and 31 small satellites at 9.30am on January 12,” Isro Public Relations director D P Karnik told to Media.
Of the 31 small satellites, 28 are from foreign countries and two from Isro. The two ‘desi’ small satellites are microsat and nanosat, which are technology demonstrators.
The Friday launch, scheduled from the Sriharikota spaceport, was earlier tentatively marked for January 10.
