Venkaiah talks tough in Rajya Sabha
Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu adjourned the House minutes after it assembled on Friday, after asking the members not to test the patience of an already disillusioned people.
Mr. Naidu hinted that he would be compelled to take an extreme view of the persistent two-week disruptions if they were not brought to an end and appealed to all sections of the House to allow normal functioning from next week. “If you are insisting on something you can have your say and at the end of the day we have to go either by consensus or by majority of the House. You can’t dictate and say either you go my way or the highway and that is no way… ,” he said.
