Woman raped inside ICU in Gurgaon

A 23-year-old woman was allegedly raped inside the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital at Bahadurgarh in Gurgaon in the early hours of Saturday.

According to the police, the woman had delivered a baby through C-section a few hours before the incident on Friday morning and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Brahm Shakti Sanjivami Hospital.

The CCTV footage shows a man getting off a Verna car outside the hospital around 3.30 a.m. and going straight to the ICU. The footage shows the other inmates inside the ICU were sleeping at the time of incident. Beds on either side of the alleged victim were occupied but no one heard any noise. The culprit is seen leaving the hospital, said Station House Officer, Bahadurgarh City Police Station, Sub-Inspector Randhir Singh.

The matter came to light when the woman told her husband, who is a Delhi Police employee, about the incident. The police are conducting raids in and around Bahadurgarh to nab the accused.
