Two Indian students stabbed to death in Ukraine, another injured: MEA
In an unfortunate incident, two Indian students were stabbed to death and another injured in Ukraine, the ministry of external affairs (MEA) said on Monday.
“Three Indian students in Ukraine’s Uzhgorod Medical College were stabbed by three Ukraine nationals on April 10,” the MEA said on Monday. “Pranav Shaindilya and Ankur Singh died while Indrajeet Chauhan is recuperating. Based on Chauhan’s statement, Ukraine police have apprehended accused,” the MEA said.
The MEA said that embassy officials have spoken to families of deceased students. “Our embassy in Kiev is ascertaining facts from police, university and local contacts,” the MEA said. The MEA added that the Indian embassy is taking up the matter related to safety of Indian students strongly with Ukraine.
