Mysura Reddy quits YSRC
The YSR Congress, senior leader M.V. Mysura Reddy has resigned from the party alleging that there was no internal democracy in the party and that the party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was engrossed in only pursuing “self-centred politics.”
“The party’s activities are all centred on money and money-based politics. There is no consistency in the gestures and words of the party leader,” he alleged in a letter faxed to Mr. Jagan on Wednesday. Dr. Mysura Reddy, however, did not reveal his future plans and evaded replies when asked whether he was joining the ruling Telugu Desam Party.
It came on a day when the fourteenth party MLA —Gottipati Ravi Kumar — crossed over to the ruling party. He said the party leadership gave scant respect to the views of senior leaders and basic values. It was not keen on standing by the people in times of crisis leave alone giving scope for internal democracy, he said.
