Pooja Jhaveri to romance Dhanush in Kollywood debut

After working as an assistant choreographer for several Bollywood films, and modelling in several ad films, Pooja Jhaveri debuted in Telugu cinema with Bham Bholenath. The 23-year-old is now set to foray into Tamil cinema soon playing Dhanush’s love interest in an upcoming film.

“I have done several ad films in Tamil and had been receiving many movie offers, but I was waiting for the right role. When director Prabhu Solomon offered me this role, I readily grabbed it,” she says with a smile. Meanwhile, the actress is also signed two more Tamil films — L-7 where she co-stars with Arun Adith and an untitled Atharva-starrer in which she is playing a village belle.

With so many films in her kitty, the actress has time for little else. “Dance is my first love and I’ve been running my own academy from when I was 13. Even though I manage to make time for it, for the past few months, I haven’t been able to practice as much as I used to earlier,” reveals the actress, who is also very passionate about writing. “Once I think I have had my heart’s content in acting, I will pursue choreography and study film direction,” shares Pooja.
