Babul Supriyo tying the knot with air hostess Rachna Sharma

Singer and Union Minister Babul Supriyo set to get hitched to Rachna Sharma, a Delhi-based air hostess with Jet Airways, in August this year. The ‘Hum Tum’ singer is already engaged to Rachna.

According to India Today, Supriyo first met Rachna on a Mumbai-Kolkata flight and it was love at first sight for him. He asked for Rachna’s name and contact number within a few minutes of conversation with her.

It is Rachna’s simplicity that attracts Supriyo the most. He said, “Complete simplicity. In my complex life, this is the only X-factor,” reports India Today.

In an interview originally published in Ananda Bazar Patrika, Supriyo said that his fate seems to have been circling in the air for the past two years. He was further quoted as saying, “Strange things are happening 30-35,000 ft above the sea level. Seems like someone is sitting up there and writing the script of my life.”

This will be Supriyo’s second marriage and it will take place on August 9 this year. He was earlier married to Rhea, but they got divorced in 2006. They have a daughter, Sharmilee.
