Reports: Minibus blast in Kabul kills several people
Police on Monday said an explosion hit a minibus in the Afghan capital, Kabul, killing and wounding several people.
A Reuters witness saw several apparently dead victims and at least two wounded being carried out of the vehicle while police and emergency service vehicles rushed to the scene.
The attacker was on foot, according to police, who refused to give a toll but said there were “multiple casualties” among the bus passengers who were “employees of a foreign compound”.
The bus was carrying Nepalese guards, according to an AFP cameraman, who also reported more than two dozen ambulances at the scene.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the blast.
The blast follows a deadly suicide attack on a bus carrying justice ministry staff near Kabul last month and a separate attack on a court in the central city of Ghazni on June 1.
