DGP J.V.Ramudu releases notification for filling 4,569 posts in police department in AP

Vijayawada: Director General of Police J.V.Ramudu, a day before his superannuation has released a notification for filling 4,569 posts on Friday.

The DGP said that 3,216 civil police constables (men and women), 1,067 Armed Reserve police constables (men and women) in the police department and 240 warders (men), 25 warders (Women), 16 deputy jailors (men) and 5 assistant matrons (women)| in the Prisons and Correctional Service Department would be recruited in the first phase.

Speaking to press, he said that the recruitment of Sub Inspector, Reserve Sub-Inspector in the Armed Reserve, Communications SI, Finger Print Bureau and other posts would be filled up in the second phase.

He said that 33 per cent of the posts were reserved for women in constables and SI posts in the Civil, Communication, Fing4r Printing Bureau and Armed wings. The State Level Police Recruitment Board reduced the 5kkm run for men and 2.5 km run for women to 1,600 metres which is common for all the aspirants along with Physical Evaluation Test. However, run time is different for male and female candidates.

Candidates should register online from August 3, 2016 from 10am to September 14 up to 5pm. Hall tickets can be downloaded from the website 10 days before the examination. Preliminary test will be held on October 16 from 10am to 1pm at 26 centres in the State.

Helpline numbers will be displayed on the website and registration shall be done only online. Fee payments can be made at all Mee Seva and AP Online Centres.

JV Ramudu launched a website http://recruitment.appolice.gov.in/ in presence of Additional Director General (Law and Order) R.P.Thakur and city Police Commissioner D.Gautam Sawang.
