Godavari Antya Pushkarams begins today

The Godavari Antya Pushkarams began today and will last for 12 days ending on August 11.

After completion of the Godavari Pushkarams, Krishna Pushkaram begin on August 11. Godavari Pushkarams began on July 14, 2015 when Guru entered into Simha Rasi. Krishna Pushkarams begins on August 11 at 9.28pm when Guru enters into Kanya Rasi.

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for Antya Pushkarams and 16 bathing ghats have been made ready for the pilgrims. The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Commissioner V.Vijayarama Raju who is the nodal officer said that 2,500 police personnel were posted for bandobast duties. As many as 181 swimmers were kept ready and RTC is making arrangements for plying of 200 buses for the convenience of visiting pilgrims. On the last day of the antya Pushkarams, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will participate.
