Chandrababu Naidu to lay foundation stone for Medical Tech Park on August 19

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minsiter Nara Chandrababu Naidu will lay foundation stone for Andhra Pradesh Medical Technology Zone on August 19, 2016.

The AP Medical Tech Park that comes up on a 270 acre site at Nudupuru near Pedagantyada. It will exclusively for manufacture of medical equipment in the country. Principal Secretary Poonam Malakondaiah after visiting the site on Wednesday said that it would bring a great relief to patients since they would be available at a lower cost.

At present, 70 per cent of the medical equipment is being imported at a higher price. Since this is the only medical technology park in the country, several industries were showing interest to set up units here resulting in providing a large number of jobs for locals, she said.

VUDA would build an arch, provide a plaque and lay an 80 feet road for the function with funds to the given by the Medical and Health Department.

After laying foundation, Chief Minsiter would meet 200 entrepreneurs interested to set up industries in the park at the Ukkunagaram club, she said.
