Vijay Rupani as the Gujarat State’s next Chief Minister

The BJP on Friday chose its Gujarat unit chief Vijay Rupani as the State’s next Chief Minister. Nitin Patel will be his deputy.

The announcement came as a surprise as till about 2.30 p.m. Mr. Patel looked set to take over as the next Chief Minister.
