Heath Streak named head coach of Zimbabwe

Heath Streak, Zimbabwe’s former captain, was appointed head coach of the national side on Monday (October 10), taking over from interim coach Makhaya Ntini, who was in-charge of the side since Dav Whatmore was sacked in June. Streak comes in with the objective of helping his team qualify for the 2019 World Cup.

His first assignment will be the two-Test home series against Sri Lanka starting October 29, followed by a One-Day International tri-series which includes West Indies.

Ntini is expected to continue as bowling coach along with batting consultant Lance Klusener.
