Aadhaar Pan link deadline expires today

Tooday is the last day to link PAN card with Aadhaar number. The government will like you to believe that today is the last day to link your PAN card with Aadhaar number. And probably that is accurate too. But from the government itself there are indications that it might be bluffing. Sounds strange but then everything about Aadhaar is strange.

There are several ways to link Aadhaar with PAN card. One is SMS way, then the online way and potentially there is a third way that is through banks.

Use SMS: To link your Aadhaar number to PAN card using SMS, type UIDPAN<12 digit Aadhaar><10 digit PAN> and send it to 567678 or 56161.

You will soon get a confirmation that your Aadhaar has been linked with the PAN card.

Use Income Tax website: Visit the link www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and enter your PAN card number, Aadhaar Number, your name on Aadhaar followed by a captcha code. Click on the Link Aadhaar button at the below and your cards are linked.

You will get an SMS telling you that Aadhaar has been linked.

The bank way: You can go to the bank and link your Aadhaar number with the PAN card as well as your bank account.
