Actor Dileep seeks CBI inquiry into woman actor abduction, sexual assault case

Actor Dileep, an accused in the case of abduction and sexual assault of a Malayalam woman actor, has written to the Kerala Home Secretary, seeking a CBI inquiry. The case is currently being investigated by a special investigation team of the police.

In the 12-page letter despatched on October 18, the actor accused DGP Loknath Behra and ADGP B. Sandhya of wrongfully implicating him in the case on the basis of fabricated evidences.

Mr. Dileep has demanded that the investigation team be taken off the case. They should be either replaced by other ”honest” officials and a fresh probe held or the CBI roped in, he said.

The actor detailed every development after that actor was attacked to drive home his point. He reiterated that he informed the DGP as early as April 10 about the threat calls received by his close friend and filmmaker Nadir Shah from the cohorts of Sunil Kumar aka ‘Pulsar’ Suni. This was followed by a formal petition filed personally with the DGP. The audio clipping of the threat calls were also handed over to the police. However, the police have refused to look into his complaint till now, he said.

Mr. Dileep repeated his claim that he did not know ‘Pulsar’ Suni.
