Aishwaryaa Dhanush turns writer
After donning the director’s hat with films like 3 and Vai Raja Vai, Aishwaryaa R Dhanush is set to turn writer — she has penned a book titled Standing on an Apple Box that will, among other things, talk about her father, superstar Rajinikanth.
The book will reflect on the many roles a woman has to juggle at home and outside. In a press statement, Aishwaryaa stated, “The idea came about one day to collate incidents, thoughts and memories, to recollect and cherish the many life lessons I learnt from my father. Simply put, to tell a story through different stages and episodes in my life, the highs and lows as seen through my eyes. This seemed simple at first, but it turned out to be quite complex, as you will see.”
The world rights of the book have been acquired by HarperCollins Publishers India.
Standing on an Apple Box will be published on December 12 to coincide with Rajinikanth’s birthday.
