BCCI extends deadline for application of head coach

Anil Kumble’s decision to not continue as the head coach of the Indian cricket team, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended the timeline for submission of applications for the post to July 9. Those who have applied earlier, won’t have to reapply for the position.

Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Richard Phybus, Lalchand Rajput and Dodda Ganesh have applied for the post so far. The candidates will be interviewed by the Cricket Advisory Committee, comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman.
