Bhavan’s, Ashti record second win in VHA Inter-School Hockey tournament

NAGPUR: Bhavan’s BP Vidya Mandir, Ashti posted their second win in as many games in the Inter-School Hockey Championship at the VHA ground on Wednesday.

Last match hero Rishabh Madne slammed three goals on Wednesday also as Bhavan’s thrashed South Point School, Omkar Nagar 6-0 to take their points tally to 6 from Pool A.

Nishant Badlu hammered a brace, while Ayan Sheikh scored a goal to complete the rout.

Ramesh Chandak rode on Vedant Chatpalliwar (8th) and Abhirav Welekar’s (18th) two first half goals to blank Jaibai Choudhary 2-0, while Pranjal Chaudhary slammed the winner as Dinanath High School managed to pip Swaminarayan School by a solitary goal.

Meanwhile, the girls’ leg will begin from October 9 at VHA ground. Ten teams from different schools of Nagpur will vie for top honours. All the matches will be played on knock-out basis. On October 9, St Paul’s HS will meet Jaibai Choudhary High School at 11 am. The final will be played on October 15.
