Facebook partners Bharti Airtel to deploy 20,000 Wi-Fi Hotspots across India

Social networking major Facebook has joined hands with leading Indian telco Bharti Airtel to launch 20,000 Wi-Fi hotspots across the country to offer affordable internet services through the former’s Express Wi-FI service.

Munish Seth, regional head APAC, Facebook Connectivity Solutions, told ET that the partnership is aimed at rapidly expanding Express Wi-Fi footprint in India. “Airtel is already in the planning stage for this deployment.”
