Firefox Focus private browser launched for iOS
Mozilla, the company behind the well-known Firefox web browser, has launched a privacy-centric web browser for Apple iOS-powered devices such as iPhones and iPads.
Dubbed Firefox Focus, it’s a minimalistic browser app that is aimed at increasing the security and privacy of user data while browsing. The browser comes with an always-on automatic private browsing mode.
It’s configured by default to block numerous tracking features (e.g. session cookies) that are used by regular browsers to log user data.
The new app, as its name suggests, allows iOS users to read about new products, get tips and tricks, schedule repair appointments at Apple Stores, and seek help through call, email and more with Apple Support executives. It also includes a ‘History’ section where all the recent support queries are logged.
