Four militants, 2 jawans killed in Kashmir encounter

Two soldiers and four militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight with holed up militants in south Kashmir’s Kulgam, around 70 km away from Srinagar.

Preliminary reports suggest that the soldiers came under fire while laying a cordon and search operation in Nagbal Frisal area, Kulgam.

Militants are hiding in the area. “The operation is on,” said a police official.

Three soldiers have sustained injuries too.
