Google introduces ‘Gmailify’ feature for non-gmail users

Google has rolled out a new an interesting feature called ‘Gmailify’ for all the non-gmail users. This new feature will enable the non-gmail users to access Yahoo, Hotmail and Outlook.com directly from the Gmail app available on Android.

The users can also have the benefit of various Gmail features such as inbox organisation, spam protection, Google Now cards and others. In order to use ‘Gmailify’ users need to manually switch it on by linking their non-gmail account to the Gmail app. The users just need to open up the new version of Gmail app and sign in with their non-gmail account and enable ‘Gmailify’. The company has not yet revealed as to when the feature will be rolled for iOS users. Last year, the search engine giant, introduced ‘block’ and ‘unsubscribe’ features for its Gmail service that will allow users to block email IDs and unsubscribe from newsletters with a few clicks.

Using the new features, users can block specific email addresses in Gmail on the web and over the next week on Android, Google said in a blogpost. Gmail is one of the most popular email services with more than 900 million users globally.
