Google Maps now shows wheelchair accessible places
Google Maps has started highlighting areas with wheelchair accessibility in the US. The ‘Wheelchair accessible entrance’ feature can be seen under the location’s ‘Amenities’ section.
The new feature is claimed to be based on user inputs coming from the Local Guide services. The service asks users about the places they have visited and gathers information based on the same.
Since the new wheelchair accessibility functionality is based on user feedback, not all the places with accessibility maybe shown.
