Google releases Assistant SDK Developer Preview
Google Assistant, which was earlier limited only to Pixel smartphones and Google Home smart speaker, will soon be available on a whole lot of devices. The company has released ‘Developer Preview’ of Google Assistant to developers, allowing them to implement the AI on any compatible device, including everything from robots to voice-enabled smart mirrors.
The SDK will allow developers to bring the Assistant to any device including a robot, or even a voice-enabled smart mirror.
“Today, we’re taking another step towards building out that ecosystem by introducing the developer preview of Google Assistant SDK. With this SDK, you can now start building your own hardware prototypes that include the Google Assistant, like a self-built robot or a voice-enabled smart mirror.
This allows you to interact with Google Assistant from any platform,” said Chris Ramsdale, product manager on the company blog post.
