IIT-BHU student bags Rs 1.20 crore Oracle offer

Computer science, electronics and electrical engineering graduates emerged as the most popular choice of software and IT majors in the first phase of the ongoing placement drive at Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU).

Most of the computer science graduates got big offers, including the highest package of Rs 1.20 crore offered by Oracle (US).

According to the officials of the training and placement office of the institute, the biggest offers have made in computer science. At every high quality campus, the maximum number of students placed, have been from the computer science discipline.

The graduates of computer science were the most hired ones during the first phase of placement drive. Even last year, the highest package of Rs 2.27 cr was offered to a computer science student by Google US, they said.
