India clinch series 3-0 with innings win over England
Ravichandran Ashwin made short work of England’s lower order as he picked up his 24th five-wicket haul in Tests to hasten India’s march towards a fifth series win in a row.
It took them eight overs on Day 5 to clinch the fourth Test by an innings and 36 runs in Mumbai on Monday.
Brief scores: India 631 (Kohli 235, Vijay 136, Jayant 104; Rashid 4/192) beat England400 and 195 (Root 77, Bairstow 51; Ashwin 6/55) by an innings and 36 runs
