Netherlands to host Zimbabwe for three ODIs

Zimbabwe will play three One-Day Internationals against Netherlands in June, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed on Wednesday (April 12). The tour will be held after they play two ODIs against Scotland on June 15 and 17.

The squad will then play their matches on June 20, 22 and 24 before they head to Sri Lanka to play one Test and a limited-overs series.

Wilfred Mukondiwa, the Zimbabwe Cricket managing director, said the matches will help the team prepare for the upcoming tour. “We are pleased to confirm Zimbabwe will be touring the Netherlands as part of a potentially exciting and competitive five-game programme that will also see us visiting Scotland for two of the matches,” he gushed.

“While the tour will give our boys the much-needed game time and a feel of unfamiliar conditions, it will also go a long way in preparing our team for the tougher series away to Sri Lanka.”

Schedule:

June 15 – 1st ODI vs Scotland

June 17 – 2nd ODI vs Scotland

June 20 – 1st ODI vs Netherlands

June 22 – 2nd ODI vs Netherlands

June 24 – 3rd ODI vs Netherlands
