Paul Adams to quit as Cape Cobras coach
Paul Adams will step down from his position of the coach of Cape Cobras, he confirmed on Friday (December 30). The former South Africa spinner will take up the responsibility of the Western Cape Cricket as the high performance manager and coach.
Ashwell Prince, the former South Africa batsman, will take over from Adams, who was appointed for the role in 2012. Dane Piedt has been appointed the interim captain of the team as well.
“Helping the team to succeed in ways which led to a number of trophies and getting players going up to the Proteas was a very satisfying part of my five-season journey as Cobras’ coach,” Adams said. “I am looking forward very much to my new role.”
