Pregnant woman gang-raped in Gurugram

A 21-year-old pregnant woman has been allegedly gang-raped by an auto-rickshaw driver and his two accomplices in Manesar.

The woman, who is over two months pregnant, told the police that she was on her way home in auto-rickshaw on May 21 afternoon when three men in the vehicle force-fed her sedative drug and gang-raped her. A native of Uttar Pradesh, the woman works as a labourer in a company in Manesar. In her complaint to the police, the woman said that the company’s staff took her to a hospital in Manesar Sector 3 on May 21 around 2.30 p.m. after she felt giddy at work. Her husband was also informed. She then decided to go home. He husband, after asking her to take an auto, left on bicycle.

“There were already five-six persons in the auto-rickshaw, but three of them got down after travelling some distance. Now only the auto-rickshaw driver and two more persons were left. After travelling some distance the driver lowered the curtains of the auto-rickshaw and the duo sitting beside me force-fed me some drug. When I regained consciousness, I found myself at an isolated place and my clothes were not in order. I felt severe pain as well,” said the woman, in her complaint.
