PV Sindhu advances, Saina Nehwal loses in Badminton Asia Championships

Indian shuttler PV Sindhu stormed into the second round at the Badminton Asia Championships with a straight-game victory over Indonesia’s Dinar Dyah Ayustine while Saina Nehwal suffered a defeat at the hands of unseeded Sayaka Sato of Japan.

Sindhu took just 31 minutes to outplay her unseeded opponent 21-8, 21-18.

Saina went down fighting 21-19, 16-21, 18-21 against Sayaka Sato.
