Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya appears in court for divorce

Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya moved a step close to her divorce when she and her husband Ashwin Ramkumar appeared in a family court in Chennai on Friday.

Married in 2010 and blessed with a child, the couple initiated the divorce proceedings late last year.

The judicial separation process has been smooth without any acrimony, as it is being done with mutual consent.

The two will have to work out the separation details and file a joint memo of agreement in the court in the next hearing. Once the court is satisfied with the content after its consultation with both parties, it would grant them divorce.

The agreement would have details of alimony, if any, and custody of visitation rights pertaining to the child.
