RJD leader Vinod Yadav shot dead in Bihar
A leader of the ruling Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) was shot dead on Saturday in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district, police said.
Vinod Yadav, resident of Rasulpur locality, was killed by armed assailants on a motorcycle, when he along with two other people were headed for a meeting.
Police said that preliminary investigation suggested personal enmity as the cause behind the killing.
Yadav’s supporters blocked roads and burnt tyres to protest the attack.
A history sheeter, Yadav is locally known as ‘bahubali’ for the kind of power he wielded in the area.
Three days ago, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ashok Jaiswal was shot dead in Patna’s Danapur locality.
