Shah Rukh Khan attends father-in-law’s funeral in Delhi

Shah Rukh Khan reached Delhi in the wee hours of the morning to attend the funeral of his father-in-law, Ramesh Chandra Chibber. Colonel Ramesh Chandra Chibber passed away at the Escorts hospital in New Delhi on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 8:55 pm. Reportedly, Gauri had been by her ailing father’s side since the past one week as he was unwell and was admitted at the Escorts hospital in New Delhi.

Shah Rukh arrived at the Lodhi Crematorium with his mother-in-law, Savita Chibber. He was seen holding her hand and leading her inside, consoling her throughout. He appeared to be a pillar of strength for the family in their time of crisis. Wife, Gauri Khan, arrived a while later, in a seperate car.

Shah Rukh was extremely fond of his father-in-law and the was heartbroken upon receiving the news. Reports also suggest that on receiving the news of his father-in-law’s demise, Shah Rukh immediately put all his assignments on hold. Some of Shah Rukh’s close industry friends were also present at the funeral to pay their respect to the departed soul.
