Shahid Afridi rants about Kashmir on Twitter, calls India ‘oppressive’
Former Pakistan cricket team captain and hard-hitting batsman, Shahid Afridi has created a furore by slamming India on its policy in Kashmir.
“Innocents [are] being shot down by [an] oppressive regime to clamp [down on] voice of self determination & independence,” Afridi tweeted.
Afridi also termed the situation “appalling and worrisome”, in the “Indian Occupied Kashmir.”
The unorthodox Pakistan batsman didn’t just stop there but also urged United Nations and other international agencies to step in to prevent what he termed “bloodshed.”
Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?
