SL captain Chandimal banned for 2 Tests, 4 ODIs

Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal along with head coach Chandika Hathurusingha and team manager Asanka Gurusinha have been banned for four ODIs and two Tests by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for against the spirit of the game on Monday.

“The three were charged by the ICC Chief Executive David Richardson on 19 June and had pleaded guilty to breaching Level 3, Article 2.3.1, which relates to conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game during last month’s St Lucia Test against the West Indies,” ICC said in a media release on Monday.
