T.R. Zeliang appointed Nagaland Chief Minister

Nagaland Governor P.B. Acharya on July 19 appointed T.R. Zeliang as the Chief Minister. Mr. Zeliang has been asked to prove his majority on the floor of the House on or before July 22.

Mr. Zeliang will be sworn in at 3 p.m. on July 19, Raj Bhavan sources said.

Mr. Zeliang, leader of the rebel Nagaland People’s Front, was present in the House along with his followers.
