The Man Who Tried to Rape MBA Graduate on Mumbai Train

Mumbai: A young MBA graduate was traveling on a Mumbai train when a man attempted to rape her, the police has disclosed.  He has been arrested today.

The 22-year-old was the lone passenger in the women’s only compartment of a suburban train on Thursday night in South Mumbai when a man entered the area and tried to overpower her.

Though it is mandatory, there were no security personnel on duty in the  compartment for women commuters, a railway official admitted.

The police said when she fought back and tried to scream for help, he got more aggressive.

As the train slowed  down while approaching the next station, the assaulter  jumped out of the compartment from the moving  train and managed to escape.

CCTV footage of the man was scrutinized by the police to identify and locate him.
